Our Story
Where it all started
- OK, we admit: we met on the internet, chatting. We both were very curious and we couldn’t believe that it could be true that we really found what we hoped to find there -
- We were intrigued. So we made a blind date in London and never looked back from then on. We both had a long way to go to admit to ourselves, to one another, and to everyone. It stayed magic, lovely, authentic and fun. It is a truly wonderful journey -
- One Friday evening in October 2017 Markus pulled a Tiffany’s box from under the sofa and told HJ that he wanted to stay together -
- In March 2018, at a conference in London, in our favorite restaurant at the Claridge’s, Markus was wondering why HJ was acting so strangely, the staff so nervous and everything a bit giddy. Hans Jurgen hardly just had put on a stern face and wanted to tell something important when staff came around the corner with a big flower arrangement, candles and a big envelope with the important question -
- Our civil wedding took place in Antwerpen on 22 September 2018 “en petit comité” with our lovely families. Italians say a bride spoilt by rain will be lucky all her life... It was pouring that day in Antwerp! -
- And then, nearly one year later, we had our big wedding party in Tantonville. What a party it was to us, thanks to everyone who came all the way to join us. We will never forget the sunny terrasse, the relaxed tea on the lawn and the scent of roses while dining -
